Pete's Fresh Market To Open In Wheaton Next Year

Pete's Fresh Market will open in Wheaton's Rice Lake Square in fall 2018 in the spaces left by Whole Foods and Sports Authority.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton residents will soon have yet another option for raw, organic and healthful food when Pete's Fresh Market opens in Rice Lake Square at Naperville and Butterfield next year. The award-winning store is set to occupy the spaces in the shopping center that formerly housed Whole Foods and Sports Authority.

Customers will be able to browse for hand-picked local produce, freshly squeezed juices, and other specialty items in a space that will span 69,586 square feet, according to a release from Mid-America Asset Management, the company who manages Rice Lake Square. House-cut meat and international wines will be available, along with vegan and gluten free foods.

Stephanie Dremonas, a spokesperson for Pete's Fresh Market said that the store hopes to give Wheaton residents another grocery option that "could close the gap between high-end experience and affordable pricing." Pete's Fresh Market got its start as a produce stand on the south side of Chicago more than four decades ago and aims to deliver that same personalized service throughout its more than a dozen stores in Chicagoland.
