Redistricting Plan Unveiled For DuPage County: See Map

Residents may provide feedback on the proposed plan online or in-person.

WHEATON, IL — DuPage County residents may provide feedback to a county board in-person or online to a proposed redistricting plan.

The year after every federal Census, municipalities in Illinois are required see if district boundaries need to be re-drawn based on Census data. The county redistricting committee has created a map showing a proposed reconfiguration of the six districts.

The County Board is holding in-person forums on October 14, 15, and 18 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the County Board Room, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. The board room is on the third floor.

Two board members did not express their support for the proposal, according to NCTV17.

On October 26, the full County Board is scheduled to review the proposed maps. The board has until November 17 to redraw district lines, according to Naperville Community Television.
