Repair Work To Close Washington Street Crossing

Detours will be in place as crews perform repairs to the railroad crossing at Washington Street in Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — Repair work will temporarily close the Washington Street railroad crossing in Wheaton starting April 1.

Traffic heading north on Washington should take the following detour:

  • Head east on Crescent Boulevard
  • Head north on President Street
  • Head west on College Avenue
  • Turn right to get back onto Washington

Traffic heading south on Washington should take the following detour:

The detours will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 1 and April 2.
