Repair Work To Close Washington Street Crossing
Detours will be in place as crews perform repairs to the railroad crossing at Washington Street in Wheaton.
WHEATON, IL — Repair work will temporarily close the Washington Street railroad crossing in Wheaton starting April 1.
Traffic heading north on Washington should take the following detour:
- Head east on Crescent Boulevard
- Head north on President Street
- Head west on College Avenue
- Turn right to get back onto Washington
Traffic heading south on Washington should take the following detour:

- Turn left to get back on southbound Washington
The detours will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 1 and April 2.
