Repairs To Close Railroad Crossing On West Street

The works is set to take place Feb. 23, necessitating detours.

WHEATON, IL — Detours will be in effect Monday to accommodate repairs to the railroad crossing at West Street.

The detours are expected to affect traffic in both directions on West Street near the crossing.

For northbound commuters, traffic will be rerouted from West Street, east onto Liberty Drive, then south onto Wheaton Avenue, east onto Willow Avenue, north on to Main Street and west onto Wesley Street before heading back north onto West Street.

For southbound commuters, traffic will be rerouted from West Street, east to Front Street, then south onto Main Street, west onto Liberty Drive and then back south onto West Street.

The detours will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
