Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Planned For Wheaton Public Library's Renovated West Plaza
Work on the revamp of Wheaton Public Library's West Plaza began in Sept. 2025.
WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Public Library will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony as it celebrates the newly renovated West Plaza.
The event, which will feature remarks from Rep. Sean Casten and Mayor Phil Suess, is scheduled for Sept. 8 at 4:30 p.m. The JukeBox Heroes will perform live music at 6 p.m.
Construction on the plaza's revamp began in Sept. 2025 and ended in August.

The renovation expanded the plaza to create a stage for outdoor performances and to expand the site's existing cafe space. Crews also repaired and replaced failing limestone, concrete, stairs and ramps in the plaza.
