Road Closure To Impact Traffic Near Dorchester And Childs

WHEATON, IL — Traffic will be redirected near the intersection of Childs Street and Dorchester Avenue in Wheaton as crews work on a sewer and water main in the area. The closure took effect early Wednesday.

Signs will be posted to direct commuters to use a detour via Liberty and Woodlawn, a city update indicated.

This sanitary work is part of a larger project that aims to replace sewer pipes in parts of Wheaton. The closure at Childs Street and Dorchester Avenue is expected to last through Friday.
