Road Closures To Take Effect For Light The Torch 5K Run
The FT Cares Foundation Light the Torch Run 5K will cause road closures throughout downtown Wheaton on Oct 1.
WHEATON, IL — Road closures will be in effect in downtown Wheaton for the FT Cares Foundation Light the Torch Run 5K on Oct. 1.
The following streets will be closed from 6:3o p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, according to the City of Wheaton website:
- Illinois Street from Reber to Washington
- Reber Street from Liberty to Illinois
- Willow Avenue from Reber to Washington
- Naperville Road from Liberty to Indiana
- Washington from Liberty to Roosevelt
- Evergreen from Washington to Blanchard
- Blanchard from Liberty to Evergreen
- Williston from Crescent to Liberty
- President from College to Crescent
- Crescent from Chase to Williston
- Chase from Crescent to Evergreen
- Indiana from Washington to Chase
Officers from the Wheaton Police Department will be on hand to help direct traffic during these road closures. Commuters are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid longer travel times.
