Road Closures To Take Effect For 'Run For The Stars' Race In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — Several road closures will be in effect in Wheaton Saturday morning to accommodate the College Church Run for the Stars 5K Race.

The following roads will be closed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.:

• Seminary from Scott to Washington
• College from Washington to Howard
• Howard from College to University
• University from Howard to Webster
• Chase north of Union Pacific tracks
• Washington Street north of Wesley Street to East Hawthorne
• Webster from University to Cadillac
• Cadillac from Webster to Wakeman
• Wakeman from Santa Rosa to Washington
• East Hawthorne from North Washington to North Scott
• North Scott from East Hawthorne to East Prairie
• East Prairie Avenue from North Scott Street to North Washington
• Oak Avenue from Washington Street to Santa Rosa Avenue
• Santa Rosa Avenue from Oak Avenue to Forest Avenue
• East Forest Avenue from Santa Rosa to Washington Street
• North Washington Street from East Forest Avenue to College Avenue

Police officers will be on hand during the closures to help direct traffic. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes, as the closures may result in delays.
