Kids can make music with colorful maracas and tambourines during an interactive music session at Cantigny Park.

WHEATON, IL — Young children can learn about different sounds —and how to make them with musical instruments— at an interactive event at Cantigny Park. Hosted by Rock 'N' Kids, the Jan. 16 event explores the sounds of trains, cars, boats, and other transportation devices through interactive play with rhythm instruments.

The program, called "Things That Go" is geared toward children ages 1 to 5 years old, which is the focus of much of the work the Kid Rock Program has done for the past 22 years throughout Chicago's Northwest suburbs.

The Cantigny Park Kid Rock event will runs from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tues. Jan. 16 in the park's education center. To register and for more information on the Things That Go event, visit the Cantigny Park website.
