Sale Of THC-Derived Products, Psychoactive Substances Outlawed In Wheaton
The city council approved the regulations at its April 20 meeting.
WHEATON, IL — Kratom, Delta-8 and -9 THC, nitrous oxide and tianeptine cannot be sold or distributed in Wheaton, according to new regulations adopted by the city council at its April 20 meeting.
City officials say the new regulations will help address concerns about sales to minors, inconsistent testing, dosage and labeling, and potential physical and neurological health risks.
The motion was passed unanimously at Monday's meeting and follows a trend of similar regulations that have been put into effect in Bolingbrook and Roselle.
