Scholarship Applications Now Open For Community Services Block Grant
The scholarship aims to help minority and low-income students pursue higher education or formal occupational training.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — Residents in DuPage County are invited to apply for a 2022 Community Services Block Grant, which aims to help minority and low-income students pursue higher education or formal occupational training.
The scholarship can be used for post-secondary education or short-term education and training. Preference will be given to students pursuing careers in advanced technology or similar careers, an update from DuPage County officials said.
To qualify for the Community Services Block Grant Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

- Meet income requirements for the Community Services Block Grant
- Be a DuPage County resident
- Be enrolled in an occupational training institute or higher education facility that is Illinois accredited
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Students who are currently attending a professional school or pursuing a master's degree should not apply.
