Scholarships Up To $5K Available Via DuPage County Community Block Grant Program
The scholarships are available to students in DuPage County living in households that are at or below 200 precent of the poverty level.
DUPAGE COUNTY — DuPage County is offering scholarships of up to $5,000 to help students in need as they pursue higher learning. The scholarships are pat of the county's Community Block Grant program and is funded in part by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
To be eligible, students must live in a DuPage County household with an income of at or below 200 percent of the poverty level. Students must also have been accepted into an Illinois-accredited occupational training or higher learning institute and have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
The minimum financial award available to selected applicants is $1,000.

The deadline to apply is May 1 at 4:30 p.m. Click the link to learn more and apply for a Community Services Block Grant scholarship. Students can also pick up applications at DuPage County Department of Community Services Office, 421 County Farm Rd., Wheaton.
