Send Valentine's Day Balloons To Lift Spirits Of Seniors At DuPage Care Center

WHEATON, IL — Residents can show some love to seniors at DuPage Care Center on Valentine's Day by buying holiday-themed helium balloons.

For a $5 donation, a balloon will be delivered to one of the care center residents on Valentine's Day. The deadline to order a balloon is Feb. 11.

A personal message can be included with your balloon.

In past years, as many as 1,000 balloons have been gifted to the DuPage Care Center residents for Valentine's Day. Proceeds from the sales benefit the center's Resident Recreation Fund.

"This fundraiser provides a wonderful opportunity to warm the hearts of our Care Center residents on cold winter days," Greg Schwarze, Chairman of the DuPage County's Human Services Committee, said in a statement.

Schwarze added, "We love hearing stories each year from residents about how much they appreciate the generosity of our residents."
