'She Put Wheaton On The Map:' Patch Community Leader

WHEATON, IL — Without community leaders, Wheaton wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

She is an economic leader

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Elle made a huge impact during COVID to keep all businesses open, including being the first person to lead the charge with outdoor dining, making Wheaton a destination for restaurants and al fresco cuisine. She has brought in major retailers and development and serves as end committee chair for the Wheaton Lions Club and leads their biggest fundraiser of the year. She is credited with making and keeping Wheaton a tourist destination and many business owners credit her with surviving and thriving. The community thanks her for increasing their property values and for what she has done for special events and activity to drive community involvement.
