Sheriff's Office Increases Patrols For Distracted Driving Month In DuPage County
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, which means DuPage County deputies will be out in full force.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — This April, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office plans to crack down on motorists who are using their phones, texting and engaging in other activities while driving. The safety campaign is part of Distracted Driving Awareness Month.
“Distracted driving puts everyone at risk, and even a quick glance at a phone can have devastating consequences,” DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick shared in a statement.
He added, “During April, officers will be looking for distracted driving violations and reminding motorists to put the phone away and focus on the road.”
