Speakeasy Vibes, Craft Cocktails, Small Plates: Dolly's Lounge Now Open In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — When you walk into Dolly's Lounge, the lush red velvet chairs, gilded frames and glittering chandeliers, and jars of plump olives and Luxardo cherries transport you to a 1920s speakeasy.

The cocktail lounge, which opened on March 21 at 110 E. Wesley St., offers craft cocktails, domestic and imported wines and shareable small plates.

Dolly's offers speakeasy favorites like old-fashioned and Manhattans, but also features inventive new cocktails. Among these are the Enzo, which melds tomato gin, Japanese gin, pineapple and yuzu an egg white topper.

The wine list features sparkling wine and rose, white wines, reds and chillable reds and skin-contact, or orange wine. The latter lands somewhere between red and white, often featuring notes of ginger, apricot and orange peel.

For small bites, diners can choose from charcuterie boards, oysters, mussels, sherry mushrooms, Impossible and beef sliders and more. Dolly's is open Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
