St. Francis High School is Still Looking for Host Families for the International Student Program
The St. Francis High School Community, through its International Student Program, welcomes and accepts students studying abroad. To date, students from China, South Korea, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Germany, Australia, Peru and the United Arab Emirates have attended St. Francis High School.
International Student Program Director, Matt Abernathy, is currently seeking qualified host families to provide safe and nurturing homes to these students for the upcoming 2014-15 school year. To qualify, families must complete an application, as well as be able to provide students with their own room and transportation to and from school and activities. Host families are expected to provide warm, secure and healthy environments for the students, and should be enthusiastic about cultural diversity while supporting the students in both academic and co-curricular activities.
The international students pay for their tuition and insurance and have their own spending money. In addition, host families might qualify for a stipend to help cover the cost of room and board.
