St. Francis High School Sophomore and her Chamber Group Win Silver Medal

St. Francis High School sophomore Serena Harnack and her chamber group, Vox Quartet, recently performed in The Fischoff Competition at the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.  This is the world's largest chamber music competition.

Representing 25 countries, 131 chamber groups competed in the first round through their submission of a professionally recorded DVD.  From this group, 24 were selected to compete live in the quarterfinals at the University of Notre Dame.  Serena's group, Vox Quartet, won the first two rounds and advanced to the semifinals along with 11 other groups.  They were one of three teams selected to advance to and perform in the final rounds and they won the silver medal.
