Suspects Flee Wheaton Burglaries In Car Stolen Out Of Glen Ellyn
In nearby Glen Ellyn 20 cars were burglarized and two were stolen that same night.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police responded to a call around 3 a.m. Tuesday of a burglary in progress in the 1000 block of South Gamon Road. Police say two dark-colored cars fled the scene, one of which had been reported stolen out of Glen Ellyn.
Police say they tried to stop the fleeing vehicles, but the drivers did not stop, so a short chase ensued. Responding officers used a spike strip to disable one of the fleeing vehicles, a 2016 Lincoln MKX that police say had been stolen from a home in Glen Ellyn. The suspects then got into the other car and fled the scene, according to police.
In Glen Ellyn, two cars were reported stolen and 20 were burglarized overnight, according to a Facebook post from the Glen Ellyn Police Department.

Police are urging residents near the east Roosevelt Road corridor to check their home security system recordings for suspects or vehicles that were in the area. Residents are also encouraged to leave the doors to their cars and homes locked and to remove valuables and keys from cars.
