Sustainability Awards Launched In Wheaton

See how to nominate local residents and businesses for the city's inaugural Sustainability Awards.

WHEATON, IL — Residents and businesses in Wheaton can now celebrated for their efforts to help the environment with the city's inaugural Sustainability Awards.

Launched by the Wheaton’s Environmental Improvement Commission, the awards will focus on the following initiatives:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Environmental habitat conservation
  • Sustainable home construction
  • Recycling
  • Waste reduction

In order to qualify for the Sustainability Awards, the nominee should live or work in the City of Wheaton. Awards will be given to one business, one adult resident and one student who is in kindergarten through 12th grade or in college).
