Teen Approached By Men In 'Suspicious Incident' In Wheaton
Police say two men in an older-model SUV approached the girl and asked if she wanted a ride.
WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating what they're calling a "suspicious incident" after a teen girl was approached by two men in an SUV who asked her if she needed a ride. The girl, 15, was walking near the intersection of Harrison and Cherry around 12 p.m. Monday, when the men drove up to her, according to a news release.
Police say that after the girl ran from the scene after she declined a ride home. She told police the men were driving an older model white SUV with a roof rack. Police say the car is likely similar to a Lexus RX 450.
According to the police, the car left the area after the encounter and was last seen heading southbound from Harrison.
