WHEATON, IL — Wallets were stolen from shoppers' carts inside two stores in Wheaton, police say. The incidents took place in mid-December in the Whole Foods and Home Goods stores.

Wallet Stolen from Purse in Cart at Whole Foods

A shopper told police a wallet was stolen from inside her purse when she left it unattended in a shopping cart at Whole Foods, 89 Danada Square East. Police say someone tried to use credit cards that were in the wallet shortly after the incident, which took place around 1 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Wallet Stolen from Purse in Cart at Home Goods

A wallet was taken from a purse that was left unattended in a shopping cart at Home Goods, 38 Danada Square West. The incident took place Dec. 18 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
