#Top3Thursday at Wheaton Park District: February 9, 2017

Wine and dine your Valentine, learn how to pass, set, and spike, and discover outstanding owls next week.

1. Wine and dine your Valentine. No reservations for Valentine's Day? No problem! At Arrowhead Golf Club's Around the World Wine Tasting on February 14, 7-9:30P, treat your Valentine to wines from around the world, including selections from Argentina, France, California, Spain, and more. Sample passed hors d'oeuvres, listen to live music by the Downtown Charlie Brown Band, and win giveaways throughout the evening, too! Event held at Arrowhead Golf Club (26W151 Butterfield Rd.). For ages 21 and up. Register online.

2. Volleyball + kids = Volleykidz. Starting February 14, Volleykidz introduces pass, set, and spike using a very light volleyball. Volleykidz will improve each child’s hand-eye coordination and left-right coordination through fun drills and gross motor games. Modified balls and nets will help them reach the next level. Classes held every Tuesday, 4:15-5P, through March 21 at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard St.). For ages 5 to 8. $111 per resident; $139 per nonresident. 3. Outstanding owls. On February 15, join Nature Tots: Outstanding Owls to learn whoooooo hunts in the night and flies silently: owls! In this class, your child will discover why owls are outstanding hunters. Held at the Northside Park Girl Scout Cabin (1300 N. West St.). For ages 3 to 5. $7.50 per resident; $9.50 per nonresident. Register online for 10-11A or 1-2P.
