#Top3Thursday at Wheaton Park District: January 19, 2017

Fix your finances, saddle up, and sample new recipes next week.

1. Fix your finances. At Financial Wellness on January 24, 7:30-8:30P, you'll learn the basic fundamentals of financial stability, proper budgeting, and debt control, plus create a solid plan for your financial future. Class held at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard Rd.). For ages 17 and up. Register online.

2. Saddle up. Starting January 25, immerse yourself in the equestrian world with beginner riding lessons! Gain experience in horse handling, grooming, tacking, and more. Lessons will be held in an indoor, heated arena during inclement weather. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. Bring a riding or bicycle helmet, too. Class meets every Wednesday, 7-8P at 9N755 Nesler Rd., Elgin, Ill. 60124 through March 1. For ages 18 and up. Register online.

3. Sample new recipes. On January 26, 12-3P, meet us at Prairie Path Books (302 E. Wesley St.) to celebrate renowned chef Ina Garten’s new cookbook, Cooking for Jeffery! Together, we'll cook and eat her all-new, favorite home recipes. For ages 21 and up. Register online.
