Union Pacific Foundation Donates Grant Money to Wheaton-Based Group

The Union Pacific Foundation is granting approximately $270,000 to support 38 Illinois non-profit organizations, including those in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Lisle.

Union Pacific Railroad, through its foundation, supports organizations in 22 states, including Illinois.

"Supporting these charitable organizations helps them continue to play important roles in improving the communities where our employees live and work," UP Foundation President Robert Turner said in a statement. "We are proud to make a positive contribution to building strong, sustainable communities across our railroad network."

Local 2012 grant recipients include the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation in Wheaton; the Glen Ellyn Community Resource Center; and the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities in Lisle.
