Veterans Day Ceremony, Crafts, More Planned At Cantigny Park

Cantigny Park will pay tribute to veterans with a Quilts of Valor ceremony, family-friendly crafts and more for Veterans Day 2022.

WHEATON, IL — Cantigny Park will pay tribute to veterans with a Quilt of Valor Ceremony, a Reflection Trail and family-friendly crafts dedicated to those who served for its 2022 Veterans Day observation.

Below is a schedule of the activities planned at Cantigny Park for Nov. 11:

Family Craft Project at 10 a.m.

Families can make a "Thank You Flag" in honor of veterans while craft supplies last.

Reflection Trail

From 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can walk a Reflection Trail that will be set up in the First Division Museum Tank Park. The trail will feature reflections written by veterans about their experience serving the country.

Quilts of Valor Ceremony

At 5:30 p.m., retired Illinois Army National Guard Colonel Nick Johnson will share remarks at the Cantigny Visitor Center ahead of a Quilts of Valor Ceremony that will pay tribute to five local veterans.

Cantigny Park's 2022 Veterans Day events are free and the museum will waive parking fees throughout the event.
