Warhol-Inspired Mural To Be Unveiled In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — A mural featuring Andy Warhol-inspired images of famous Wheaton figures is set to be unveiled at the Wheaton Public Library May 22. The mural, created by Geoff Bevington, will span a width of 20 feet and stretch seven feet high on a wall near the west plaza of the library.

The colorful piece will be comprised of four pop art portraits of local figures that were chosen by members of Wheaton's Chamber of Commerce’s Arts, Business, and Culture Committee. The identity of the chosen subjects will remain under wraps until the unveiling.

The public art installation coincides with Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop, which is set to open at College of DuPage's Cleve Carney Museum of Art June 3.
