Wheaton Boy Chosen as St. Baldrick's Foundation Ambassador
Chase Ewoldt was chosen this past month as one of five ambassadors nationwide for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

A Wheaton boy who knows all to well the harsh realities dealt to those with childhood cancer has been chosen as one of five ambassadors nationwide for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, according to the Daily Herald.
Chase Ewoldt was 2 1/2 years old when he was diagnosed with ATRT, which is a rare and deadly pediatric brain tumor. Now 4 years old, Ewoldt is participating in a St. Baldrick’s-funded children’s cancer study and appears to be free of the disease, according to Chase’s story, which is posted on the St. Baldrick’s foundation website.

The Ewoldts learned this month that Chase was chosen as a St. Baldrick’s Foundation ambassador.
“Our goal is to be able to share Chase’s story and encourage where we can, and then step in wherever they need us to help,” Ellie Ewoldt, Chase’s mother, told the Daily Herald. “That was in my heart all along -- even before St. Baldrick’s -- to use our story to encourage other people.”
