Wheaton Coronavirus Update: 40 New Cases In Past Week

WHEATON, IL — In Wheaton, the number of coronavirus cases has increased by 40 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD).

As of Feb. 9, there had been 3,751 coronavirus cases reported in Wheaton. The total number of cases reported in Wheaton as of Feb. 16 was 3,791.

In Glen Ellyn, the number of coronavirus cases has increased by 34 cases in the past week. On Feb. 9, the village had reported 2,666 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 2,700 as of Feb. 16.

Glen Ellyn has had 35 coronavirus-related deaths since March. Wheaton has had 51 confirmed deaths since the county started tracking its coronavirus numbers, DCHD data shows. The risk of coronavirus transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
