Wheaton Library To Close Temporarily For Utility Work

The library and café will be closed as crews update underground utilities.

WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Public Library will be closed on Wednesday for utility work, according to a news release from the city. Officials said the utility maintenance, which will require water in the building to be shut off completely, will also close Café on the Park Wednesday.

The library repairs are part of the ongoing Wheaton Streetscape Project, which works to improve and update infrastructure and aesthetics throughout downtown Wheaton. Library patrons will still be able to access the drop-off box to return their rented items.

Wheaton officials said they expect the library and café to be back in business on Thursday.
