The following Senior Members of the Wheaton North High School Band were honored at the Music Department banquet on May 17, 2014:
Lauren Liebman received the John Philip Sousa Award. The John Philip Sousa Band Award is the pinnacle of achievement for high school band students. Created in 1955, the award honors the top student in a high-school band and recognizes superior musicianship and outstanding dedication.
Richard Doner received the Louis Armstrong Award. The Louis Armstrong Award is the "top senior jazz award", a highly prestigious award to a musician. It is given out by high schools nationwide to recognize "outstanding musical achievement and an incredible dedication to the program".
Kelly Gonzalez and Matthias Joireman each received the Semper Fidelis Award. The Semper Fidelis award for Musical Excellence is presented by the United States Marines Youth Foundation, Inc. and the Marine Corps League in recognition of diligence, dedication and musical excellence as a performing high school bandsman and soloist. Award recipients are not necessarily the most outstanding musicians, but rather a student whose leadership qualities have contributed to the success of the band program.
Kirsten Gillis received the Craig Ormsby Award. The Craig Ormsby Award is the Wheaton North Memorial Director's Award. It honors a senior band student for achievement, loyalty, and co-operation in the high school band program.

The director of the Wheaton North Band program is Mr. Jon Noworyta. The Wheaton North High School band program includes three curricular bands, the marching band, the jazz band and the jazz ensemble.
