The Wheaton North High School Marching Falcons placed third out of five bands in its class at the Lancer Joust held at Lake Park High School on Saturday, September 14.
The band’s drum majors are senior Rebekah Slinger and junior Eliza Billingham.
WNHS was one of twenty-three bands competing at the festival. Each band was judged on music performance, visual performance, general effect, percussion, and auxiliary.

The Falcon Marching Band features forty-eight musicians and eleven color guard members. For its 2013 competitive season, the band is presenting a show titled “Desert Visions” which features three distinct movements. The show features music composed by Ian Grom and John Mapes.
The Falcon Marching Band is scheduled to compete in exhibition at the 26th Annual Falcon Fest at Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, IL on September 28. The remainder of their schedule includes: the 47th Annual Illinois State University Marching Band Competition at Hancock Stadium in Normal, IL on October 12, the Lincoln-Way Invitational in Frankfort, IL on October 19, and the Downers Grove South Marching Mustang Bowl in Downers Grove, IL on October 26.

The band is directed by Mr. Jon Noworyta. Falcon Marching Band Staff includes assistants Dan Romano, Kurt Makaryk, Heather Novak, Jeff Novak, Anders Hagen, Mike Greco, Brooks Truly, Lia Pardun, and Lauren Pardun.
The director of the Wheaton North Band program is Mr. Jon Noworyta. The Wheaton North High School band program includes three curricular bands, the marching band, the jazz band and the jazz ensemble.
