The Wheaton North Falcons beat the Wheaton Warrenville South Tigers 23-13 Friday, ending a ten-year streak of playoff appearances for the Tigers, and of Tiger victories in the annual cross-town matchup.
North (8-1, 6-1) scored their 23 points in the first half. North quarterback John Peltz threw a touchdown pass to Kaelen Bradford and two to Tom Colletti. He got a safety when JD Marconi tackled South's punter in his end zone after a snap, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The Tigers (4-5, 4-3) scored two touchdowns in the third quarter. North stopped South with a sack early in the fourth quarter, followed by a North drive that ended the game, according to the Tribune.
