Wheaton North Walks Over Geneva, 40-27

Wheaton North’s Falcons defeated the Geneva Vikings 40-27 in nonconference play on Friday night in Geneva, the Daily Herald reports.

Wheaton North was ahead at the half after an intense battle in the second quarter saw Wheaton secure a 17-6 lead, which the Falcons pushed to 31-13 by the end of the half, according to the Daily Herald.

Falcons receiver Matt Biegalski caught 5 passes for 146 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown catch, the Daily Herald reported.

Falcons quarterback Clayton Thorson, who plans to attend Northwestern, connected on 15 of 24 pass attempts to gain 241 yards and 2 touchdowns, according to the Daily Herald, which credited running back Dee Alexander with 80 yards rushing. Wheaton North also made three interceptions, one of which Mike Cerone returned 30 yards for a touchdown.
