Wheaton Public Library Gets New Director
Betsy Adamowski will take over Oct. 1 with the retirement of Director Sarah Meisels.
Betsy Adamowski has been tapped by the Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees to take over as the Wheaton Public Library’s new director Oct. 1, 2013,
Library Director Sarah Meisels is set to retire Sept. 30, 2013 after 47 years with the library, according to a release the city posted on its website.
Adamowski has been library director for the Itasca Community Library since 2000, where she previously served as Youth Services manager from 1989 to 2000. The release states she earned a bachelor of science degree from Illinois State University and a master’s in library science from Northern Illinois University.
