Wheaton came in at #27 in Money Magazine's list of the 100 Best Places To Live In the U.S.
WHEATON, IL — Time's Money Magazine just released its annual roundup of the Best Places To Live In America and Wheaton made the list. Editors looked at more than 2,400 locales throughout the U.S. and Wheaton came in at an impressive #27.
According to a release from Money Magazine, which teamed up with realtor.com to do its research, the winners were picked based on eight categories that included: cost of living, education, economy, convenience, housing, cultural and recreational amenities, crime, and an "overall sense of pleasantness."
Wheaton's abolitionist history took center stage in the publication's review of the city, which features a prominent photo of the Old DuPage County Courthouse in all its glory. The Money Magazine entry for Wheaton goes on to mention such beloved hotspots as Westside Improv Studio, Frocks and Frills, and Emmett's Brewing Company. Money Magazine also describes Wheaton's "lively" dining scene and its many options for international cuisine.
