Wheaton Ranked Among Most Family-Friendly Cities in U.S.

Just how family-friendly would you consider Wheaton?

Apartment List, an online rental marketplace, recently released its rankings of the most family-friendly cities in the U.S. and state and ranked Wheaton as the second most family-friendly city in Illinois. Wheaton was ranked as the 12th most family-friendly city in the United States.

Apartmentlist.com took into consideration factors such as safety, housing costs, school quality and child friendliness in determining the recently released rankings.

Wheaton ranked among the safest cities in the country, according to apartmentlist.com, and also scored for school quality.

“The only factors keeping Wheaton out of a top 10 ranking nationally are slightly lower scores for housing costs and percentage of children,” according to the apartmentlist.com rankings.

The following cities were also ranked among the most family-friendly cities in Illinois, according to the rankings:

• No. 3: Elgin
• No. 4: Normal
• No. 5: Bloomington
