Wheaton Schools Announce Closures For Below-Zero Temps
Many Wheaton schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday due to dangerously cold weather.
WHEATON, IL -- With temperatures expected to be well below zero and wind chills set to plunge as low as 55 below zero, Wheaton schools have begun to announce closures for Wednesday. Some schools will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday. The following Wheaton schools and facilities have announced closures:
- 18th Circuit Court DuPage County
- Briar Glen School
- Clare Woods Academy
- District 200 Wheaton-Warrenville
- DuPage Housing Authority
- Edison Middle School
- Emerson Elementary School
- Franklin Middle School
- Glendale Heights Traffic Court
- Greenhouse Co-School
- Hawthorne Elementary
- Jefferson Early Childhood Center
- Lincoln Elementary
- Longfellow Elementary
- Lowell Elementary
- Madison Elementary
- Monroe Middle School
- People's Resource Center (closes 5 p.m. Tues.; reopens noon Thurs.)
- Pleasant Hill Elementary
- Sandburg Elementary
- St. Daniel the Prophet Religious Education
- St. Michael School
- Transition Program
- Washington Elementary
- Wheaton Academy (off-campus learning day)
- Wheaton North High School
- Wheaton Traffic Court
