Wheaton Seeks Feedback on Downtown Improvements

The city is asking for residents' input during a meeting on March 2.

Submission by the city of Wheaton

Big changes are coming for downtown Wheaton, and you can help determine what those changes will look like.

The City will host a public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., to get residents’ input on downtown streetscape improvements.

The City has contracted with Design Workshop, a landscape architecture firm, to assist the City with the first phase of implementing elements of the Downtown Strategic Plan. This plan will focus on streetscape improvements, gathering areas, signage and other changes to enhance downtown Wheaton.

Design Workshop will present options and solicit input to help guide the final design plans during the March 2 meeting. For those who are unable to attend, Design Workshop will have an opportunity for residents to share their feedback online. More information will be posted on the City’s website after the meeting.
