Wheaton Suspends Water Shutoff, Fees During Coronavirus Crisis

The temporary changes also affect operations at Wheaton city facilities.

WHEATON, IL — The City of Wheaton has put a temporary hold on all water shutoffs and associated late fees during the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The change also includes limiting visits to city facilities to appointments only starting Friday.

Residents are encouraged to take care of their city-related business by phone or online if possible. The city also urged residents to use the mailbox located west of City Hall on Wesley Street, along with the call box/buzzer outside of the Wheaton Police and Fire Departments for non-emergency business.

Residents who need a non-emergency police report should call 630-260-2161 and select option “6” to request to speak with an officer or request a call by emailing police@wheaton.il.us.
