Haddie has become a geography fiend! Every time we turn around, she’s memorized more borders, more U.S. state facts, more landmarks and more oceans. She knows all 50 U.S. states, their capitals and their flags. Did I mention she’s only 6? She has the South American and Oceania continents memorized for sure.
Her dream is to paint her room to look like the whole globe — a pink globe, of course, with glitter, of course! She’s even hosting a family geography trivia tournament at our local ice cream shop because she’s trying to be crowned America’s Favorite Student and meet Bill Nye the Science Guy! She’s earned a lot of votes and is in the top five competitors in her group, believe it or not.
She made a splash at one of the local library’s STEM fests. Did I mention she loves cats? Understatement of the year! They call her Haddie the Cat, and she wants to be a world-traveling, pink-clad veterinarian someday. Her dad and I are just along for the ride. She’s our curious cat who loves asking questions. 😺😊❤️🌎
