Woman, 3 Juveniles Charged With Aggravated Robbery In Wheaton

Police say the juveniles stole cannabis wax while armed with an airsoft pistol.

WHEATON, IL — Three juveniles and an adult have been charged in connection with an aggravated robbery that took place near Wheaton College Tuesday.

Police say three juveniles stole cannabis wax from individuals while armed with an airsoft pistol just before 6:30 p.m. The adult, identified as Mikayla Jawor, 22, of the 6700 block of Tudor Lane, Westmont, is accused of driving the car in which the juveniles are accused of fleeing.

The juveniles and Jawor were taken into custody after they were stopped by a Carol Stream police officer.

“Anyone suspected of committing a violent crime in DuPage County will quickly find themself standing before a judge in court, either juvenile or adult,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.

Wheaton Police Chief Bill Murphy said in a statement, "Violent crime will not be tolerated in our community, regardless of the ages of those allegedly involved."

Jawor and the three juveniles were charged with felony aggravated robbery with a dangerous weapon or firearm. Each of the juveniles was also charged with felony robbery.

Jawor is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $50,000 bond. She is set to appear in court again on Nov. 5.
