Workshops Planned For District 200 Middle School Projects
Upcoming workshops will be held Oct. 3, Oct. 5 and Oct. 10, giving community members a chance to learn about projects for the schools.

WHEATON, IL — Community members are invited to a series of workshops that will discuss potential facilities projects Community Unit School District 200 has for its middle schools.
The following priorities have been identified for Edison, Franklin and Monroe Middle Schools, per the facilities project website.
- Upgrades to HVAC system, lighting, roofing and flooring
- Updates to physical education areas, locker rooms
- Adding collaborative spaces
- Expanding and updating science labs
- Improving safety and security
At Franklin Middle School, the district has identified concerns with the size of music classrooms. Additional priorities at Monroe Middle School include improvements to accessibility and special education spaces.

Residents can attend the following workshops to share feedback and learn more about the projects:
- Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at Monroe Middle School, 1855 Manchester Rd., Wheaton
- Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. at Franklin Middle School, 211 E. Franklin St., Wheaton
- Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom
