2 Teens Charged During Police Chase in Wilmette
Police ended a chase in Wilmette due to high speeds earlier this week, but 2 retail theft suspects were left behind at Carson Pirie Scott.

WILMETTE, IL - A retail theft incident at the Carson Pirie Scott store on Lake Avenue in Wilmette on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of two teenagers who offenders left behind before a police chase that was ultimately ended due to high speeds.
Staff at Carson's called police at 10:08 p.m. due to several subjects who had stolen items from the store before being there again.
When police arrived, three of the suspects fled southbound on Skokie Boulevard in what police say is a stolen vehicle.

"They refused to pull over and a short pursuit ensued," according to a police report on the incident. The pursuit was ended at Skokie and Hibbard due to high speeds, however.
Two of the suspects were left behind at Carson's before the chase started.

They were both arrested after dropping merchandise on the north sidewalk and re-entering Carson's.
A 17-year-old Chicago boy and 16-year-old Chicago girl were both petitioned to juvenile court.
