2 Thieves Break Into Home on Lockerbie Lane: Cops

WILMETTE, IL - Two home invaders made off with about $500 in cash from a Wilmette home in the middle of the day and while the homeowner was there, according to a police report.

Police say two men - both described as Hispanic and in their 20s with dark colored hair - forcefully entered the home in the 200 block of Lockerbie between 1 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. on Monday.

The homeowner told police the money had been stolen out of various closets and drawers that had been rummaged through prior to a confrontation that took place between the robbers and the homeowner.

The two robbers - both wearing dark clothing during the commission of the crime - fled in a vehicle, but no description of the vehicle was listed in the report.
