UPDATED: 250 ComEd Customers in Kenilworth Without Power

Kenilworth's Village Hall, which also houses the police station, was without power.

Roughly 250 ComEd customers in Kenilworth, incluing the building that houses village hall and the police station, are without power because of Tuesday's storms, according to Village Manager Brad Burke.

As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, village hall was still operating off of a generator, Burke said.

"The outage is related to a circuit which also serves customers in Wilmette and a similar number of Wilmette residents are affected as well." Burke told Patch in an email Wednesday evening. Meanwhile all stoplights remained operational, he added, indicating that some streetlights may be down.

While the majority of the storm damage consists of broken tree branches and limbs, one large tree in Ware Park had fallen Tuesday evening, as well as a tree near the Metra station on the railroad's property.

Burke, like Wilmette officials, indicated that ComEd has estimated to repair the majority of the outages by midnight Thursday.
