Armed Robber Hits Jimmy John's Manager and Takes Off With Cash: Cops

WILMETTE, IL — An armed robber hit a night manager before getting away with cash Sunday, Aug. 7, according to police.

The victim told police that a heavy set man, between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4, wearing a black hoodie entered Jimmy John's, 3520 Lake Ave., and displayed a weapon, the report stated. The man then hit her and fled the shop with an unknown amount of money, the report added.

The police report did not indicate what kind of weapon the man had.
