Bike Stolen From Starbucks Employee: Cops
A Wilmette woman says her 1997 Lexus was stolen from her driveway on Lake Avenue overnight.

The following information is from the Wilmette Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
BIKE THEFT
Between 3 p.m. on Aug. 29 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 30, a blue Trek Waterloo mountain bike was stolen as it was locked to the bike rack at 201 Sheridan Rd. The front tire and lock were still attached to the bike rack.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
A white 1997 Lexus was reported stolen from a driveway in the 2700 block of Lake Ave. between 9 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 3. The complainant had the only key for the vehicle. The stolen car was then involved in a traffic crash at the 1200 block of Arthur Avenue in Chicago, where the driver fled the scene and was located a few blocks away with two to three other subjects in another vehicle. Chicago police took three to four subjects into custody.

BURGLARY
A resident in the 2000 block of Highland reported that someone used brute force to gain entry into his garage access door between 9 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 3. Items stored inside the doorway appear to have prevented entry.
RETAIL THEFT
Walgreens employees at the store at 3232 Lake Ave. reported at 6:50 p.m. that two black men entered the store and filled bags with razors and other items. They fled in a silver Ford Focus driven by a black woman.

THEFT
An employee of the Starbucks at 721 Green Bay Rd. reported that between 1 p.m. and 3:23 p.m. on Sept. 5 an unknown offender stole his silver Schwinn mountain bike, which he left unlocked adjacent to the rear entrance of the store.
