Burglaries To Autos, Thefts Reported In Wilmette

Wilmette police are investigating multiple incidents of car burglaries and thefts that occurred over a two-day span.

WILMETTE, IL - Police in Wilmette are investigating a series of burglary to auto and theft reports that were made over a two-day span earlier this week. The following reports were made on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13.

A resident of the 400 block of 10th St. reported that unknown offender(s) entered her unlocked vehicle overnight from 10 p.m. Nov. 12 to 7:10 a.m. Nov. 13. Nothing was found to be missing.

A resident of the 400 block of 9th St. reported that unknown offender(s)entered her unlocked vehicle overnight between 6:30 p.m. Nothing was found to be missing.

A resident of the 900 block of Linden reported that unknown offender(s) entered her unlocked vehicle overnight between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.

A resident of the 200 block of 9th St. reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle as it was parked on the street between 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 13.

A pair of thefts were also reported during that same two-day span at BP gas stations in Wilmette.

At 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 12, an employee of the BP at 901 Green Bay Road reported the theft of three cigarillos that were taken from the counter. The subjects fled westbound in the vehicle. The victim stated that there were two white male suspects and a white female who remained in the vehicle.

At 6:06 p.m. on Nov. 13, a Kenilworth resident reported that an unknown offenders entered her unlocked vehicle while she was pumping gas at the BP at 840 Skokie and took her purse from inside the vehicle. She observed a black man and black woman in the offending vehicle as it left the gas station south on Skokie.
