Join Abdoulaye Camara and Amy Osterman for a vibrant 2-hour West African drum and dance class at Karma Collective. Whether you're brand new or have some experience, you'll be welcomed into an energizing space filled with djembe and dundun rhythms, movement, and connection.
Abdoulaye is a master artist originally from Guinea, West Africa. He has traveled the globe teaching his culture’s rich traditions of music and dance for over 40-years. Amy brings over 20-years of experience, which includes traveling to Guinea to study dance and percussion as well as being dancer in Ayodele Drum & Dance of Chicago. Their deep knowledge, infectious enthusiasm, and passion for sharing make for a fun-filled experience. You'll learn foundational techniques while being gently challenged to grow and explore something new.
Open to adults (18+) at beginner to beginner-intermediate levels.
